Born in 1349 Hijri Shamshi, Shiraz

He started learning Tonbak in 1362 Hijri Shamsi from Mamhmood Farahmand. He has cooperated with several bands such as Soroosh, Faramarz Payvar, Dalahoo, Ayeneh, Massiha, Aref, and etc performing in national and international concerts. He aslo can play Tar and Setar. He was also taught harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration by Kambi Roshan Raven. He released his first album in Iran and then in France. Navid Afghah has designed 3 tonbaks with different sound and different playing techniques. He is director of Darvak Music Academy in Shiraz

3 ways for learning from the workshop

1. Onsite workshop: Tonbak players based in Tehran can participate in the workshop held in Tehran. They should take their tonbak with themselves. It is necessary to arrive to the place half an hour before starting time and following health regulations.
2. Online Workshop: Participants can watch the live workshop. Certificate of attendance will be issued for them.
